I'm going with Injen "CAI" it isnt really cold air because the filter sits behind the radiator but im planning to fabricate a scoop that gets cold air from under the car, then im gonna wrap the lower portion of the intake tube with exhaust insulation to keep the air cool as it goes past the radiator
just my $.02

I want a cold air intake too, but after looking at frankencar.com , I think i'm going to go with that.

In my climate I go Frankencar in the cooler months and stock in the summer.

As for intake go Frankencar.

What's wrong with having Frankencar in the winter AND summer? What makes you change intakes back and forth?

Yeah I am running mine all seasons and this will be second summer with FrankenCar intake. Car drives great, it pulls harder of course when the air is cooler but the change is not that noticable.

My Injen isn't behind the radiator. Think only the 4th gens had that issue (from what I have read anyways.)

with the 3.0 engines, you can feel a noticeable difference how the car pulls when its hot out or cold. i am pretty sure that because the 3.5 engines have so much more torque , you dont really feel the difference when its hot outside

Modify your stock airbox. Better than the Frankencar and the Injen. I have a couple pics on my homepage.

Sound wise, frankencar is amazing. Nobody I know, who knows anybody, has never heard such music when the car is at full throttle....Plus, easier to maintain....thats worth alot...Plus, most races are at night, when the air is cool.

The stock box pulls much cooler air. When it is 110+ degrees outside you do everything you can to get cooler air.

BTW it is 10:00pm now and just got under 100 degrees!

What does that part of your signature mean? They don't come ready for installation right out of the box for a 2k3? I'm thinking of buying one.

I love my Injen. I wouldn't expect much gain with the full cat-back, just a sound increase. Greddy is pricey but good quality. I have liked it on every car I have heard it on, but haven't heard it on a Maxima yet.
