What should I do...??

Here's the deal... I'm looking at getting a BMW 325i ... but I have a 2002 Maxima fully loaded with Navigation. Should I keep the max, or get the BMW?

I think the toughest choice is giving up the navigation (I don't think I could afford a 325i with Navi)

Give me some help!

well although the beemers are nice they are expensive as hell to fix and maintain so i've heard. but i think i would just stay with the max. you'll get better handling out of the beemer but i think the max is quicker.

Get some suspension mods done to your car and you'll be set.
you'll have 3.5VQ power and nice handling kit that wont really have a problem staying with a 325

i was playing with a 325 a few weeks ago, and he was behind me, and this sharp 90angle turn came up... i didnt brake and i just took it maybe at 40mph , i look back and i see the bimmer almost lost control.

i dont know how that can happen , he didnt have the sport package and i was sure that BMW handles like its on rails.

does this make any sense?

Keep the max. When I went shopping for a car in 2000 the first car I looked at was a BMW 323ci. I had my heart set on it until a friend of mine at the Nissan dealership talked me in to taking out a Maxima for the afternoon... leased a Maxima later that week!

My Max was about $7K less than the BMW with many more features and a lot more hp. I still love a BMW but getting the Max was an easy decision... matter of fact, I just bought the car after the lease ended a couple of months ago. It's still a great car.

Stay with the Max. Cause you'll end up being a noob on the BMW owners website.

If you have NAV you have the cream of the crop of Maxi's. Don't get rid of it and spend more money for less car.

Keep the max for two reasons:
1. You'll lose tons of cash when you sell the Max; not worth it.
2. I see snow in your sig pic.

according to your sig, you get quite a bit of snow, stick with the max, unless its the xi, but even then.....stick with the max

If you think you will do better with the 325i knowing that it has:

less power, less usable interior space, questionable reliability, higher maintenance costs, higher resale value, is a base model, etc.

then you should get it. Just do your Due Diligence (DD) (research) and make sure you know exactly what you are getting into. Only then will you know that getting the 325i is the best decision for you.

As for me, I would never trade down, only up.

Get some suspension mods and your car will handle BETTER than a 325. I honestly think that my Max with suspension mods can hang with my brother-in-law's 97 M3.

Ummm, well not taking anything away from your ride Andy, it does handle exceptionally well BUT the 97 M3 was the lightbody model. That model was able to actually out handle a Ferrari F355 on the twistiest. Not by much but it did, obviously one hell of a driver is need to pull this off, but the car is capable of it.

holy ****, then those old M3 are something. Ferrari is a serious car and if a bimmer can outhandle it, then the bimmer suspenion is one of the best
