Looking into an UDP

I'd like to get an UDP and after searching I've noticed that the people with the RVM pulleys have had problems with oil leaks.

I think I want to get the UR pulley. Has anyone had any problems with this pulley on their 2k-2k1 Maximas?

From what I hear from other ORG. memeber's is that an aftermarket UDP is a worthless mod with minimal gains behind it.

RVM's pulley is defective. Consider yourself warned about buying/installing/using one of their pulleys.

Other than that, there's not any problems (so far) with the UR or the Definitive pullies for the 5th gen, other than those who didn't change the oil seal, which isn't directly related to the UDP manufacturing/design itself, but more towards the age/milage of the engine when the UDP was installed. It is recommended that anytime you change the crankshaft pulley that you change the oil seal as well. You're already there, so you might as well go ahead and do it. You can get the seal from your local Nissan dealer for about $7.

You'll also need belts to go with the pulley. Be sure to inquire as to which size belts you'll need for your pulley and engine. The pulley manufacture should be able to tell you what you'll need, and you can find them at a local auto parts store.

5-6hp If you do the install yourself it's worth it, if you don't, it's not. If you have extra cash to pay for the install, why not
