4th gen'er w/ 5th gen cel question
Hey all,
sorry to waste your time with what is probably an easy question.. but here goes anyway.
My dad's 2000 threw a cel last night, and I told him instead of taking it to a dealership to have them figure it out, we could easily check it ourselves. I said this, thinking you can just check it like a fourth gen (there's some screw you turn and then the light blinks the code.. blah blah blah).. however, I checked the faq and the only thing it says in there on clearing a check engine light it to use an odb-II reader. Unfortunately I do not have a reader, so I'm wondering if there is any different way to check this, without having to go to a stealership. Thanks for the help.
