Dealer incident with a TSB

I have 67k on my 2k1 max. when i had 58k on the car i took it to the dealer for transmision diagnosis and they said i need to bring it back to replace the solenoids. i never knew that they were actually working on the slipping transmision TSB because i told them about the slipping a lot before and they said they never saw anything.

so i leave the car for the day, i pick it up and i go for a ride, basicly nothign changed, except for maybe the downshift, its a little bit better. so i go back and i tell them that it didnt do anything, and they're like "that's all we can do according to the TSB"(which i never looked at close)

last week i saw a post about the same problem i had with my car and about the TSB, so i read it carefully and i saw that if after the replacement of the solenoids the problem wasnt resolved, the TCM is suppose to be replaced to fix the problem, and i dont know if they did it. do you guys think there is a way i can go back there and talk to them into putting a new TCM. i still have a powertrain/engine warrenty because i did all the service to my car at their place so the warrenty gets extended a little bit to 75k

Yes - not sure why there's a question. Take the TSB and the invoice describing what work they did, and tell them that the first time they didn't do all of the recommended work. They should be happy to fix it this time.

If you don't have the invoice, go back anyway and tell them about your tranny problem - you said you're still under their warranty so they shouldn't have a problem.

Take your receipt for the last work done, plus a copy of the TSB. Don't show them the TSB right off the bat, keep that in reserve in case they give you attitude. Explain that the receipt does not say they replaced the TCM, and you would like to make sure they did under the TSB. I'm sure at that point they will attempt to tell you that the TSB does not apply, etc. Then you can whip out the copy of the TSB and show them. Good luck man. I got the TSB done and it didn't work for sh**. All I have to say is What Now?
