I didn't like the 6 pod LED that comes with this light and did like the mounting options to fit the entire tube. I disassembled the light, cut off the LED pod. I got 5mm wide angle red LED and 150omhs resistor. There are 2 wires that come from the shiftlight board, red and black. Connect the resistor to red wire, them connect one end of LED to the resistor and connect the other end to the black wire. I kept the black tube which comes wit the shift light. I keep the shiftlight board in the tube to protect it. Find a place on the dash or the pillar so light is clearly visible and drill a 5mm hole. Mount the LED light and follow instructions for shiftlight installation and set up. I mounted mine next to sir mirror ****. It looks very nice and clean, but I might move it to A-pillar for better visibility.
