Question about Dead battery and ECU

My brother in law left his map lights on in his 02 Maxima and it killed the battery, I have a question. He had the reprogramming of the ECU done for the hesitation a few months ago so my question is did the computer loose this info and is it going to retard to its old ways, and also does he need to drive agressively so it will relearn his driving pattern, thanks?
