Frankencar intakes

Anyone break the strap that goes from the top of the drivers side strut mount to the intake itself? I was checking my oil today and i noticed that it snapped in 2 pieces! The filter is still tight..I wonder if i email them if they would send me a replacement piece. Its made out of some cheap metal, no wonder the torque of the 3.5 broke it!

BTW, anyone check out there webpage? they modified it with some Flash stuff..pretty cool!

You must be packing some serious power to make the support bracket break in two

You need to isolate the intake from the motor. This is done on the stock box and should also be done on the Frankencar. Get an isolator from the midpipe to the throttlebody.

The flexible coupler that is connected to the stock box. Between the TB and the silencer. I believe the Altimas works well with the Frankencar. This will allow the motor to move freely and you won't have this problem. Also why not reduce vibration to the MAF. Mine is installed this way and works great. Look through the hood while in neutral and rev the motor, it rocks quite a bit. Under load even more. Nothing IMO should be fixed to the chassis from the motor

We had a large discussion about this last week. Its very important to use the coupler, in order to allow engine play.
