Will my engine be the same...

I have to get some work done on my engine, probably one of the pistons, will my max be the same when I get it back. Will it be the wonderful machine I fell in love with? Anyone had work done on there engines let me know and let me know the outcome. Its getting serviced under warranty at the Nissan dealer. Thanks.

Anyone know if the maxima has zero clearance between piston and dropped valve? I am wondering why else you think a piston needs work? If you have a cylinder that is measuring low compression the problem is usually in the head--broken spring, broken collet, valve stem, etc. which should be done without "ruining" your engine. On the other hand, if you have a piston that struck a valve there is the possibility of lower end damage--connecting rods/bearings or crankshaft. What'd you do?
