The instructions for installing the factory 6CD changer says to disconnect the battery. Will anything need to be reset (remote entry for example)?

No, after disconnecting the battery, only your radio and clock are affected.

By the way... where did you get those instructions? Do you have a link? or?

The instructions came with the 6CD changer install kit. If you want a copy, I will try to scan them and put them into a PDF document. Let me know.

That would be cool. Probably helpful to some other people too.
Did you buy your changer from Courtesy?

Yes, the 6CD changer and intall kit was ordered through Courtsey Nissan. Don't remeber the exact price, but with shipping was about $325. Arrived here (Southwestern IL) about four days after ordering (via INTERNET, not their 800 number).

Will do the scan this weekend and will post if I get good results.

RE: installation instructions:

Was not sure how to get my scanned instruction sheet into a PDF file, so I just mad a JPEG of each page (8 total). These are the instructions that came with the Nissan install kit. E-mail me if you want them sent. I think the averaged arounf 500Kb each, so it won't be too hard to send them as attachments.

I am also looking at fitting the steering wheel radio control from the 2001 to see if it can be retrofitted to a 2k.
