I Just bought a 2000 Max...NEWBIE

5 speed 70000miles for $12,500...is this a good deal??

Also looking to buy a cattman muffler, but I don't want it to be annoyingly loud. Any comments from owners?

Not sure on the price... the mileage is kinda high but its a good car so it'll last ya. I think that's around Blue Book price.

Can't help on the muffler either but I'm curious as to what the others say so I'm giving you a BUMP.

I paid $15,500 for my 2000 with 49,500 on it. Get the Greddy SP catback, not the EVO.

if you dont want noise, dont make a muffler the first thing you buy.

i paid about 17.2k 2000 se 5 speed fully loaded 35k...bought it just last week...sounds like you got a good deal, these seem to be good cars for the most part, good luck with it

Yeah,

Mine is loaded also. Thanks for the feedback I'll let you know what I end up doing. I want to make a few mods, but I don't wanna go all out. Maybe a pipe and some wheels thats about it.

I see some of these dudes go crazy with the mods...I wonder how long thier cars last? anyone??

Get a new y-pipe. Seems to be one of the best bang for your buck mod. Apparently on 2k-2k1 the HP increase can go upwards to 15hp

Price paid 2000 Max

I purchased mine 2000 SE sterling Mist blk leather 46k every option except remote start had a transferable 6yr 75k warranty $ 13,600. I wasnt sure what the new body style was going to do to the value of the 5th generation.

2K GLE fully loaded about 3 weeks ago, paid 18.5K, 24K miles from some grandma, haha, already have the clear side markers, ae pedals, front lower grille tech, 17% all the way around

Hey people. I bought my 2k GLE in Mar 2003 and paid $16,700 with a spoiler added on. It had 31k on it and has all the goodies. Ive put clear markers, tint, AE sills, ADR shinwa rims(keeping stock ones for winter w/ a set of blizzaks) SE tailights and blue led dome light and door lights. And I have the lower valence coming from grill tech. BTW my wife and I love this car, she had a 2K gr prix GT and this has it all over the GT, peace out.
