Just installed my OSCAI Beta version
For those that didn't read the thread, we nicknamed the air silencer cai mod OSCAI (ooglie stock cold air intake). I didn't take pics this time around since I'm still figuring it out. I finally see the fabled white box (silencer?). I haven't road tested and I don't have a K&N panel filter in yet. To anyone who did this... where are you getting your cold air from... the end of my tube is hanging out near the bottom inside of the bumper straight down... not exactly in direct air flow.
Nice job! The white box under the battery is a 'resonator'. It pretty much cuts down on noise. Is your tube secured to anything or is it just hanging down? Maybe you can point it forward somewhere in the front bumper under the radiator?
Where did you....
attach your custom intake tube to? I attached mine to the ram air section, where the 'L' shaped plastic tube attached to. So mine runs straight down to the plastic splash guard panel at the bottom of the car. In fact, the end of my tube hangs outside about 0.5" below the splash guard, hence enabling cool air capture. I used velcro to hold it in place.
I'm going to try to take some pictures of it in place and post them this weekend.
Peace...

I removed the old L tube. Mine goes straight down and hangs out in the back of the bumper. I don't see an easy way to get it to bend into any cooler source of air and I used 3" tubing the whole way. I wanna get rid of that resonator, its in the way and its gotta way 1lb (think of all the hp that would free up!). Like I said, this is beta, I'll poke at it more over the weekend and I'll go nuts with my digital camera so everyon can see what we are talking about.
ye everything that even has to be touched or looked at please!! and if u could label that would be great... with detailed instructions!! please please help... i cant sleep at night knowing that this mod exists and i cant figure it out yet.. if u could get it by tomorow then i will do the mod this weekend too!! thanks man in advance
I can't wait until it gets a BIT warmer so I can do the install ... its TOOO damn cold to work on my car outside for such a long duration!!! damn!!!
So far all of the results from you guys are positive, so I really really wanna get this damn thing done!!!
