Headlight bulb just burned out....

Dammit,

I just replaced my foglight bulbs and now my headlight bulb just let go. I was using the APC brand Xenon set and it looked very nice and clear at night, with that blue color to it, huge difference in visability. My question is, which brand bulb gives that nice blue-ish color and lasts? Thanks in advance.

You can try a PIAA bulb. Make sure it was just your bulb that went out and that you didnt fry your harness.

The 2K owners manual says that the replacement bulb type is a "60/55 Watt HB2".

Is this the same as the Hi/Low "H4" bulb? Thx.

Yes, we use H4 bulbs which have the high and low beam in one.

thanks guys,

I've seen the PIAA bulbs and I know they are quality but they are expensive. I really like the blue color and I thought the PIAA was more of an "intense" white?

I used to have the PIAA Xtreme whites...they burnt out in less than 2 months!! When this happened I did a search and was surprised of all the negative PIAA comments I found regarding early failure. However, I've had my PIAA ion crystal yellow fogs for over a year and they are great!

Midnight Moose has some xenon bulbs that I was referred to by another org member. I really like them...they're bright and have a blueish tint to them, and only $15.49/pair.

Whatever you get, good luck.

wow, I guess it seems whether or not youre bulbs last is luck. Last time I installed mine I did not touch them and they lasted for 7 months. Well, I guess I'll buy whatever I find tommorrow cause I hate driving aound with one light out and having everyone flash me all the time.

All those aftermarket bulbs will not give you that color your really looking for. Just go buy some HID's. They have GD's going on now that sell the, for $3 bills and change.

I agree those aftermarket blue bulbs are a waste. They actually filter out much needed light. They may look pretty, but they are dangerous.
Go with the Philips vision plus bulbs. They use them in Europe and are great. Not blue, but tons of light.

p.s. for even more light adjust your fog lights so the beam is closer to the headlight pattern. Huge difference.

Yeah, I thought the same thing and tried this last year. Big mistake. I got flashed by EVERYONE. It would appear the fog lights are much more prone to blind other drivers if they're adjusted even a little.

Hmmmmn...maybe that's why I get flashed. I thought it was just morons that thought my HIDs were brights, but maybe it's my fogs.

I'll have to try aiming them or leaving them off and see if it helps any. Otherwise, I'm going to get some KOPS HID bulbs or similar, so they look ricey and people don't mistake them for brights.
