Whenever I am accelerating and I go to shift into the next gear the rpm's don't drop for a couple seconds. They just stay at the rpm I shifted out of. When they do start to fall it is very slow. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it normal? My 95 never did this. Thanks.

Yes, all 02/03 6 sp exhibit this. I believe it's a result of the drive-by-wire system. Just have to get used to and live with it.

It's normal. Took mine to the dealer about it. Has to do with emissions, they said. If the throttle closes quickly to let the revs down, it allows more unburned fuel to pass through the engine. After a while I got used to it and now I actually like it.

Cool. I'm glad it's nothing to be concerned about. I wonder if the underdrive pulley would help to drop the rpm's faster. On my 95 it made the rpm's drop quite a bit quicker. Thanks guys.

I think it's a computer that prevents the throttle from opening/closing quickly, so changing the pulley may only have a minimal effect at best. Just a thought, I'm not positive about that.
