Fog light bulb change....Arrggggh!

Hello, Org. members! I recently just purchased a 2000 SE, and I'm starting to learn the in and outs of the car, except I'm having trouble changing the bulbs in the fogs. I'm trying to upgrade with better bulbs, but what is the process of changing these? Does the whole assembly have to come out? If so, can somebody give me some insight on this? Thanks!

Feel your pain went through the same thing. Its a piece of cake though. Look under the fog lamp(is easier if car is on ramps) and you'll see a few pop out gromets and the plastic shield just folds back, then there's a phillips screw that holds it in once this is off push the light housing out towards the rear of car. Just take your time pushing or pulling this out so you don't break the prongs that hold it in place. Once out you can get to the bulb inside the housing. Hope this helps.

It's really simple after you've done it for the first time.
You can check the How-To's for help.

Thanks for your replies. Before I posted this thread, I got up to the point of loosening the bottom bolt that holds it on, but I was pushing forward instead of rearward. Thanks!

If you take a look at page one picture 4 you can see the two pins that fit into the plastic gromet. Sometimes they get rusted together and then the pins wont come out of the plastic gromets which are supposed to remain in the fender housing. i had to use a hammer to tap them till they popped out.

That's the vid I watched to change my fog light bulbs out last year. I couldn't figure out how those dayum housings came out until the vid said that there's a 10mm nut holding it in. After watching that vid it made it much simpler.
