First trip ever to the track

Here's the numbers from my first time ever to a track. Injen intake, stock tires. Rear pressure 42lbs. Front pressure 28 lbs., but only for the third run. I forgot to lower it for the first 2 runs.

Temp - 83 degrees
Humidity – 60%
Bar. Pressure one hour before racing – 30.02 and falling

Run 1:

R/T .483
60’ 2.426
1/8 9.959
mph 72.9
1/4 15.334
mph 91.352

Run 2:

R/T .478
60’ 2.423
1/8 10.046
mph 72.62
1/4 15.420
mph 90.858

Run 3:

R/T .690 (I was sleepin’)
60” 2.461
1/8 10.080
mph 72.596
1/4 15.402
mph 92.174

The runs were about 20 minutes apart. Went with MAXimumHP. He ran tonight too and will post his info in the 4th gen forum. Being my first time I had no expectations on how good/bad I would do. I can work on the 60' times and try to figure out the best shift points. I know I can be quicker and faster.

I wouldn't worry too much about the R/T.

The 6-speed is defineatly a mid 14 car. As most people know/ have seen here.

Yeah, lots of room for improvement in the 60'. Got any tips?

Buy a rear wheel drive car! (Just kidding)

Lower your front tire pressure a little more (25 psi?), remove all the weight from the trunk (including spare tire, jack, matting and every thing else), move your passenger seat all the way forward, more the drivers seat as far forward as you can stand it, do a good burnout, do something to eliminate wheel hop then hit the throttle hard when the lights change. A set of drag radials or slicks would help too.

I was on my factory radials. The weather was fairly cool when I made that run. And too you can see my mods. I ran a 14.77 stock. Just about where you are.
