SES light

Just wondering if anyone had any input:

We drove to Tofino on Vancouver Island for a vacation. The final 150km are awesome to drive, especially considering there's hardly anybody else on it early in the morning. Anyway, my SES came on (steady, not blinking). Gas cap was on fine. No problems with gas. Car appeared to be performing fine except for an occasional jerky clunk at WOT between 3rd and 4th gear. Before I left (3000km ago) I took the car in for an oil change and I forgot to remind the dealer that I use synthetic oil (I foolishly assumed they knew my vehicle by now). I don't think that would cause the SES light to come on though. Only other possibility I can think of is my OSCAI. The SES eventually went off suggesting that the anomoly was just a one-off thing, but on the return trip it came back on. It takes about 30-40 starts before it clears so it is still on right now. I'm taking it in to the dealer this Friday morning. Sorry for the long post. Any suggestions/coments would be appreciated.

i would take it to an autozone to get a heads up on the ses light, assuming you have one near you. its a free diagnostics and it might be an easy repair you can do yourself.
