Does the Nissan HID Anti-theft Work?

Ok I read what you all have to say about the Nissan HID Anti theft kit. My question is - has anyone using this "STUPID" device got their HID lights stolen since?

Please lets keep the responses simple and to the point. Thanks

I had it installed for $275 and HID got stolen anyway. Save your money and avoid feeling ripped off by Nissan again...
I tried to get my money back from Nissan but they didn't give a damn

Save your money and don't buy the HID anti theft kit from Nissan. My brother in law is a Auto Technician at a Nissan dealership and he himself has told me that it's the biggest bullsh*t. From what he says the kit consists of one piece which is installed in the doors (I'm guessing to prevent break ins?) another piece which secures that the hood not be opened from outside and some break away screws for the headlights. These pieces are all pointless seeing as how all the thieves do is use a prybar and tear them out thru the fender and bumper. The break away screws don't help at all either because the piece being held down by them is plastic and is just snapped in the process of being stolen. A Nissan dealership my brother in law used to work at got hit the hardest a couple months back having 33 2k3 Maxima's headlights stolen, and some were even customers' cars which were left overnight to be serviced. Your best bet would either be to switch the headlights for 2k/2k1 headlights or get this anti theft kit I've seen sold by I believe PIAA which wires up to your alarm.
