new seats
Aftermarket seats are much better than stock, there is many people on here that have them, including me. Check the group deal section for a group buy on these seats.
You are looking at about 600 shipped to you, plus another 500 to install them. I installed mine myself with some help from friends. If you are handy and can follow instructions, you should save yourself the 500 and do it yourself

MaxDoogie,
Do you know of any good writeups for taking off the seat covers and then putting them back on? I am looking to install heated seats, and would like to do it myself. I've done just about everything else mechanically to a car before, but never worked with seat covers.

my best suggestion is get the install video that they offer with the leathe kits. It helped me in a few aspects...But honestly, it isn't hard at all, just time consuming. Basically all you do is start undoing the hog rings, peeling back and install in reverse order.
I thought about installing a leather as well, but after all, the cost outweighs the benefit. The only feasible way, in my opinion, is to find a wrecked Max with leather interior and swap the whole interior..
KiLLeR2002se, did you're stuff from here? http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/seatheatac.html
Also, were you able to use the pre-existing wiring under the seat (that's just hanging there)?
Did you have to tap into the fuse box at all, and where did you mount the switches, next to the parking brake?
My other concern is that the seats won't be a comfortable as before. I'm also assuming that the seats need to be unbolted to slip the covers off. Sorry for asking so many questions, I've just never done this before, and don't know what tools I'll need.
