Loose belt on '02 SE?

Has anyone experienced a strange sound, like a loose belt rubbing, when releasing the clutch of their '02 SE? Mine has ~13K miles, and I don't abuse the car much, so I'm fairly certain it's not a clutch issue, but I'm surprised to hear that rubbing type noise from under the hood. It's very easy to replicate - especially when the car is warm. Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks,

Seth

OK<OK< I'll take this one (SEARCH, if you could of course)

Have you checked the TSB's for clutch howl on 2k2's? Maybe you have that...

Thanks for the response Saxdogg. I did try searching the boards first, but I kept getting the same error message - even after using the new URL for searching boards.

Thanks for heads up on the TSBs. I have used that forum in the past (That's how I had my "hesitation" problem fixed from 2-3K RPM). I did a cursory glance of that board since I couldn't get the search function to work, but I'll dig a little deeper.

Thanks,

Seth

Many thanks JP.

According to the "symptoms" I read in the TSB, this is exactly what my car is experiencing. I'll take a free clutch disc with my next oil change, thank you.

I really appreciate the help!

Seth
