18" wheel questions ?

What is the optimum width? 7.5,8,or8.5
What offset for each width? I don't want them to stick out at all.
Is this the right tire size? 235/40-18

And most impotant:
What do you guys think of theese.

ADR M-Sport in Hyperblack, as seen on this civic
http://www.adrwheels.com/sponsored.vehicles/

HPRacing EVO in Silver Dark
http://www.hpracing.com/drill_down_parts.php?id=49&

ARO Speed Crush 2-tone
http://www.speedandstyle.com/index_main.htm

I like the Mesh style or or the split spoke like this RX7
http://www.adrwheels.com/sponsored.vehicles/ces1
or this A4 w/ mille miglia action's
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Displ...t+Silver+Paint

Any help or suggestions would be a great help.
Thanks,Ecko

IMO, the wider, the better. Offset should be 37-42, depending on wheel width.

235/45/18 is not the correct size. Size will also depend on width. You have a ton of options, but I would recommend the following:
225/40/18- (7.5")
235/40/18- (8")
245/40/18- (8.5")

Oh, and I think gunmetal/darker wheels only look good on silver, black, and gray colored cars.

Thanks for pointing that out.
I know 235/45-18 is wrong.
I'm still thinking about just putting 245/45-17"s on my stock rims and must have crossed them up.

Good looking out.

18x7.5s will fit with absolutely no problem. 18x8s will fit with even better looks especially on a lowered car. 18x8.5s are sick, but if you have a really low Maxima, you will rub.

ADRs are heavy, my friend has M-sport on his 330ci and he weighed the rims himself and each of them weighs 26.7lb...not good for performance and fuel economy...

just my opinion

I went with 245/40/18s on my 18x8 wheels, and I wouldn't do it any different. Research shows that the outside size with tires of my size is the closest to the stock 225/50/17 size. good luck

No problems here.

And if you do get 18" rims a 245/40-18 will keep the speedometer near perfect.

OK.
So I have narrowed it down to the ADR M-Sport : 18x8.5 w/ a 35 mm offset.
As seen on this 350 Z and the Civic.
http://www.adrwheels.com/sponsored.vehicles/

OR

The HPRacing EVO 18x8 w/ a 38 mm offset.
As seen on thie BMW under EVO on this page:
http://www.hpdesignwheels.com/

Are there any problems w/ either off theese Offsets
I am using Sumitomo 235/40-18 HTR+ skins
I need some sort off ALL-Season tire.

Let me know what you think and if you see any problems.

Thanks,Ecko

I read on the group deal forum that people that bought the HP Evos had problems with the center cap fitting and had to buy 5mm spacers to make it work. That makes my choice the ADRs.
