Dealer Web Site seems to know my ODO autobytel)

My Nissan Dealer recently sent me a letter describing a myservicepage.com link where I could track my service and see any recalls etc. for my particular VIN. I noticed that since my last service work at the dealer, this web site seem and the dealer seem to know my ODO reading within a couple of dozen miles. Is there something on this car that could be sending my information back to the dealer/service? Or is it just a lucky guess? I am going to take a 600 mile trip in the next couple of days and will check it when I return. I noticed that support for the web page was from autobytel.com which is making me paranoid!!

Check under the rear bumper for a tracking device.

My guess is that they just use an average miles driven per year and go from there. They more than likely just update when you go in for service when they can get the actual odo. Just a guess though

They do use a formula. The avg person does 12-15k/yr. So they figure from that. Also they take the mileage when you go in for services. They take the mileage after 2 of them and divide by the time in between and get a mi/day number. then they multiply and get a guesstimate of your actual mileage. It's fairly accurate.
