I was wondering if a Transponder key for a 2k2 or 3 Max will work with a Anniversary Max and vice versa. Anyone have any idea?

The transponder is in the key itself.

 

I don't see why not, but you may want to check with DaveB or your local dealer.

BTW, just an opinion, but using an AE key in anything but an AE is ghetto/tacky. The other way around isn't quite as bad.

Ghetto, as in 20-22" wheels attempting to look like an AMG or something. It is using something that doesn't belong to look like something better and/or just a mix of mismatched parts. Not to be confused with rice.
