Wow: 14.6 @ 94.5 MPH tonight in my GLE!!!
I ran the 1/4 with several guys from the org and had quite a night!! worst time was a 14.7 (twice) and bested 14.6 (three times). I have all the timeslips, but wont be able to get them posted tonight. Probly tomorrow morning. So basically I was very, very pleased. One run I managed to trap 95.7 MPH too... great night tho - track was sticky. The other .org members also did pretty well... dont remember exact times though

Very nice run, I want a 95 trap also in the max and I want a 98.5+ out of the 350, my baby is one of the stronger ones stock. I might wait till the temps go down to run them again.

wow. when i go to the track id like a time similar to that to prove to my ignorant friends. what mods do you have? and what was your setup when going to the track? did you change tire pressure, etc?
#6
mods are in my sig
Tire pressure was 32 front, 42 rear for the best run
Temp 75 Degrees
Humidity 70%
Everything removed from trunk
1/2 tank of gas
1 VERY sticky track
Also helps to take out passenger seat (50 lbs) all my extra gas canceled this out though

With that trap speed you must have spun half the track. Edit your dream time to a 11.8 @ 121mph Much more believable.

I ran best on my third run. As you remember my first run was horrible(it was my frist time ever to drag track) I didn't even get the timeslip as I completly screwed up. Second time it was better but with nasty wheel hope I think I launched too high around 3000 rpms, everything inside my car opened up center console, wipers, blinkers, it was pretty crazy.
Third run was my best, I managed 14.71 at 96.42mph with 2.443 60ft. I am still was kinda slow off the line, but I managed to beat my friend's 350Z he ran 15.0 at 95.7mph on that last run.
It was definetly fun, I want to go again. But the lines were nasty yesterday. Only got 3 runs out of which only one was acceptable. Next time I think I will do better need to learn how to launch better and cut that 60ft time. Also in all of my runs, my car was the same setup as I run on the street, tire pressure was not change, I think I am running like 32 all around, nothing removed, even had gym bag and other crap in the trunk. I wanted to see how it does exactly as I drive it on the street.
BTW my friend in his 350Z 6-speed ran 14.5 at 98mph for his best run. It was our both first time racing, next I hope we will do better.

Peace.

Its hard to say with the 04 with the 04 SE 5spd auto running times like that I can only imagine what the 4spd auto SL would run (I know the track conditions werent the best). We are doing times like this in a 4spd auto 02/03's which is damn good!

Sorry for the delay replying, i've been away. I never ran the car stock, but with crappier conditions and less stuff removed (full trunk, interior, everything) i ran a 14.8 @ 94.7 MPH I think it was. Removing the air filter did not make a difference in my time that run, but it didnt hurt my time either. For the GLE, I was quite satisfied considering i'm heavier than the SE models and all...
And yes, I manually shifted for all my best times

The SE is available with every option that comes on the GLE so, unless someone is driving a "base" SE (no leather, no bose, no sunroof) the weights of the two cars should be about identical.
And I'm not sure here, but the SE's wheels may weigh more than the GLE's. Both are 17 inchers of the same width (I believe) but the GLE is a 6 spoke and the SE is a 7 spoke, right??
So, they may in fact be a bit heavier.

You know what, you are right, sorry?
One other thing, the SE comes with a standard spoiler. Not sure how much that weighs, but it's probably a good 20+ pounds.
Anyway, I don't think there's any weight difference between the two cars, unless you compare a "base" SE to a loaded GLE, then there might be 100 pounds difference. But, I think most people that buy SE's aren't "base" and therefore the two cars probably weigh within 20-30 pounds of each other. Not enough to affect performance.
