I was looking at my Y2K's throttle and cruise controle cables and they both seem to have quite a bit of slack in them. Here is a picture showing the slack. Are they supposed to be like this, or do I need to tighten them?

 

Mine has a bit of play in it. could be cable strech, if it doesn't bother you, then it should be fine.

 

mine's like that, it is ok. you dont want to over tightening it.
