Kudos to Sub Solutions and David...

just wanted to give a big thumbs up for the sub solutions 6.5" box. david installed it for me along with an amp this past weekend.

as it's been previously written about, this is a great low-cost alternative to the sub-par output of the stock bose sub. for those few who want to go deaf, it may not be for you...

i enjoy a variety of music styles at moderate sound levels... i also enjoy having ALL of my trunk space available to use.

the installation looks good, the overall sound is now much more enjoyable at louder volumes and the cost for both was a pretty good deal.

i encourage those with similar needs to give it shot...

I posted another thread about this setup, can you give me more details? What amp did you use? Did David use the stock wiring for the power for the amp? Do you have any pictures?

Oh yeah, Dave can be reached at 480-510-3420

i don't have any pictures as i left my car with david all weekend.

as far as the install goes, i'm not sure how or what was done with regards to wiring. i believe he did use the existing wiring though.

also, the amp "volume" **** he installed is located under the arm rest in one of the little covers intended for an accessory i don't have.

the amp is from COUSTIC. i'm not sure what the specs are... i've got the box (along with the removed bose sub) in the backseat. i'll take a look and let you know.

david's email is concepts2004@aol.com

Right on! If there's any way you can take pics that would be most appreciated. I thought about buying the sub, but haven't really made up my mind.

Can you tell if he had to drill extra mounting holes or did he use existing holes/brackets to mount the box to the rear deck? Any extra rattling coming from the rear deck?

it looks as though additional mounting holes are used... david "de-rattled " my entire rear deck area, which i greatly appreciate.
i'm sure he could fill you in on what exactly was done.

as far as photos go... i can snap a few digital shots in the next day or so...

the amp he used is from COUSTIC and is rated at 245 watts, if you'd like the model number just let me know...
