Intermitent Windshield Wiper

You already have Variable Intermitent Windshield Wiper settings on the wiper stalk. There is a series of white dashes that vary from long to short, indicating the length of each cycle.

Variable Intermitent Windshield Wipers

I must apologize. Upon checking the 2K and the 2K+1 Maxima brochures I did discover that the SE and the GXE have "2-speed fixed intermitent wipers" as standard equipment. The variable wiper feature is available only with the "COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE PACKAGE". This feature is standard only on the GLE.
I do not think that there is any Nissan solution to this problem. You may be able to buy an aftermarket product to accomplish what you want.

I hope both you and kev realized I was joking with my attitued in my second post . Dave B emailed me and said he has the stalk for $32.72. I'll be ordering one next week.

Hmmmm.....I thought all Maximas came with the variable intermittent wipers. Guess I was wrong. Interesting that you only have to change the stalk on the steering wheel though to have that option. I guess it's just a simple potentiometer in there then.

Me too...

<B>My 95GXE I had earlier came with it. When my friend got his 98GXE it wasn't standard anymore. Alot of other things were different as well.
I also had the 8 way powerseat on the driver side, and the trunk opener was on the ds door.
His car didn't have any powerseats and his trunk opener was on the floor next too the gas door release. Hmm.

I like how you slid the word "potentiometer" in there. What it mean?

Basically a variable resistor. You turn the thing and the resistance changes. Works like a dimmer switch.
