are underdrive pulleys worth getting???
I am wanting to get an underdrive pulley for my 2k2. I am pretty new to all the upgrading so are they worth it? What is the best one to get and how easy are the installs?

According to me, yes. Combine the UDP with a timing advance and you'll definitely feel the difference. Or, of course, you can just hang in there with naysayers and wonder who's really right.
WELL IF YOU HAVE AOR ARE GOING TO INSTALL A SYSTEM THEY DO NOT RECOMMEND TO INSTALL A UPD. IT IS DIFFERENT IN SIZE CAUSING SOMETHING TO THE ALTERNATOR WHICH PRODUCES POWER=OR SOMEHTING LIKE THAT. I SAW AN ARTICLE IN A MAG. SORRY FOR THE LIMITED INFO
new flywheel is different than an UDP. with a 6 speed you can get both, which will reduce engine lag even more. For an auto 2k2, I like my UDP and definatly notice a difference. When I raced a 2k2 SE auto at the track, I pulled on him thru 1st gear, and nothing else... this is apparently due to the UDP as it makes the biggest difference in 1st gear. As far as the stereo system thing goes, I have a system which has been completely unaffected by the UDP. Also, the A/C works as good as ever, but there is noticably less power loss when I'm running the A/C after installing the UDP. If you install it yourself, then ya, its worth the money. It certainly doesnt make the car any slower!! That just is not a possibility because of what the UDP does. So go for it if you gots the money

I have Unorthodox, they have been pretty much "the" UDP since the idea came about years back.
Earlier I meant UDP and flywheel have same weight effect on engine (a UDP is much lighter than a stock pulley), but yes UDP's do gain a lot from underdriving components too. If you have a manual, you'll notice your revs drop quicker after clutching with a UDP, and much more so with the lightened flywheel. I had a light flywheel on my 300ZXTT, and I highly recommend it. I love how it makes the car shift. I can't comment on the flywheel vendors, I used Stillen for my Z and was happy.
