how do i make the rearview mirror stop rattling???? please help

It won't stop. Do not worry it will not come off. Mine has been shaking for almost 2 yrs

i have the auto dimmer...after 2 yrs its still good...BTW.....what the **** is the auto dimmer there for? I see it as uselessness....lol

PS...my mirror shakes but hardly ever rattles....i am hitting 134 db's...but not constantly...

I have a 02 and my mirrow doesn't rattle not nearly as loud as my sunglasses holder. Sure it isn't that?

just fill the sorrounding areas of the windshield with some poly.. and that should minimize the rattle... it worked for me all it is is the sorrounding metal sending strong bass to the windshield so if you damp the sorrounding it slows down tthe rattle...try it.!

Not sure how to stop the rattle. I just broke my second one, it completely snapped off again. Hope they will cover the second one under warranty too. Nothing like driving down the road with no rear view mirror.

i have not fix till this day.
And the rattling buttons if so annoying. Especially since its near your ear.

yea i meant shake not rattle hehe but im glad that yours hasnt gone bad cuz of all the shaking

Im hittin 144dbs and my mirror barley moves in my 2k but i dont have the self dimming one either

The mirror is gonna shake wether you like it or not, but it doesnt make any sound. On the otherhand the sunglasses thingy rattels like a mo fo, for that I stuff some folded paper so that it cant move around and my problem was solved.

I am positive its not the sunglass holder. I hold the mirror in myhand, and all rattling is gone. I know its mirror for sure.
