I de-badged the MAXIMA and the SE symbol from my trunk, and the SE came off real nice, a little picking at the sticky stuff and it is gone, but the MAXIMA one left alot of stuff that won't pick off, even the wifes nails couldn't budge it. Is there a cleaning product that can remove it with out harming the paint? Thanks

Try "3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner", which can be found in a small can at Wal-Mart or a large can at NAPA. Do not stiff it or you'll gag for quite awhile. You can also try alchohol (rubbing kind ) and a soft cloth, which should work just fine. I would try alcohol first.

I want my Maxima to stand out from all others. There's a bunch around my area, and all driven by old farts. I would drop a 1000 bucks and lower it, but I don't have 1000 bucks to spend on the car. Diapies come first my wife says. De-badging is a easy way to look a little different. I am keeping the Nissan sysmbol. Thanks for the advice fellas!!!

here was my miracle liquid remover thing... WATER...

just drip some water from the top.. it will get loose, and just peel.. it takes some time to get everything off, but it leaves NO stain.

took me 10 minutes to remove my MAXIMA and GLE

I know what you mean, I'm 16 and when I drive around people think it's my parents car which ticks me off. Well I would put tints on to make it stand out, but

a) parents won't let me...(playa hattas)
b) seems like Po-Po's look for tints lol

I hear ya. In maryland, they have some very strict tinting laws, basically you can have a slight tint, but nothing else. They give you like 10 days to get it inspected agan after the citation and if you fail to comply, they revoke your registration. Farging bastages.

Buy a can of 3M adhesive remover.
It has many other uses.
Nasty wheel weight glue remover, tar on the carpets remover, etc...

I used 99% alcohol to remove it. Then polish and wax afterwards.

Definitely don't try removing the Nissan emblem, or you'll have 2 small holes in your trunk...

Dental floss for the MAXIMA and the SE. The center Nissan hamburger emblem on the trunk lid has 2 holes in it to mount.

Fishing line to get the badges off, then goo gone is amazing...put it on...wait 10 seconds and it comes off nice and easy...then wax it. you could probably just put the goo gone on b4 u even debadge it with fishing line and it will soften it up. Never thought of that until now...oh well guess i will try that on the next car...lol...
