I was at my body shop today to get an estimate on the damage done to my car when the passenger side headlight was stolen. An Acura TL I saw there made me feel a little better. Both headlights ripped out, bumper hanging off, hood bent up, side panels bent out. The only damage on my car was a few scratches on the bumper and the side panel was bent in and paint chipped. $200 to fix at the most. I was talking to the guy there and that Acura had over $5000 in damage. He said he saw a lot more Acuras coming in with that kind of damage because the thieves steal it not just for the bulbs and ballasts, but for the housing which can be fit into Honda Accords and Civics. Just thought I'd share that with everyone. We're not alone here with this HID theft crap.

 

Did you mean 2000 or 200? 200 seems real cheap if the took one of your hids

 

$200 to just fix the damage done to pry the headlight out. That's not counting the cost of replacing the headlight. I got that part for employee cost.
