get the UDP from the Definitive or something like that.... it's cheaper then Unorthdox UPD. I don't have any problem with A/C at all...

as for the warranty it's all depends on the dealer....

Here is the biggest most important piece of advice I can possibly offer you about your car... Stay away from that Awful company! Get your Pulley from SouthWest Autoworks.

The pulley works because it is lighter than your stock pulley. Less horse power to turn the pulley means more get up and go for your car. The pulley also under drives your accessories like your a/c, which means that the pulley is driving them at a slower rate than stock does. According to pretty much everyone who has one, they have noticed an increase in power w/o any affect in the daily driveability of the cars other accessories.

What do these things cost & what does the install typically cost? I would imagine you would need a new belt also. I'm also a newbie to this. Thanx.

There are TWO different types of pullies... one is just lightened and one is smaller and lighter. From reading around here, the OEM sized lightened one is less trouble.

I say defeintly get the Unorthodox UDP. I noticed a pretty good increase in power down in the lower rpm's. It will especially help if you get or already have an intake and exhaust. So yes it's worth it.

2k2wanabe: I think Definitive (JBL-something) makes that one too...

I think a pulley is worth doing, but there are many other performance mods for around the same price, that will give you more gains...I'm not sure what mods you have, but the pulley shouldn't be too high up on the to-do list...

Get the pulley if you got the money and the knowhow to install it. Makes a nice difference in 1st gear and you wont get AC lag anymore either. But the AC still works just fine, along with my subs and stuff

Im confused- does it help the A/C lag when A/C on ? Or does it make it worse?
So basically just adds more power off of first(lets u climb up first faster)?

The UDP will help you at all engine speeds...

Unorthodox Racing has 2 different ones for the 2002+ Maximas, and plenty more for previous generations.

Any general automotive mechanic can replace your belt(s) for you, and most of the quick lube places do it now as well (although I wouldn't go near them with a 100 Ft. pole). Do it yourself and gain some valuable knowledge about how your engine is assembled...
