Guys ...

I've been trying to find a place to Route the Tubing to get it outside, where did U guys put it??

I can't seem to find an Air Source without Cutting the Black splash guards on the bottom of the car, which I DON'T want to do!

I thought I could stick it out of the Lower Grill Area (area on the same level as the Fogs, the rectangular holes) but its not actually OPEN to the inside!

Need Desparate help!

I left mine on top of the front splash guard, pointing towards the driver fender. It's located just under the plastic resonator/silencer. I'm not sure I want to move it to the middle and towards the transmission. There's warm air back there. I'm trying to figure out a better spot, but I don't see one.

im in the same situation. i am looking for a beter source for cold air, however the places where you can feed the oscai are kind of limited because you want to keep it in a place where it gets cold air, but is safe from not sucking anything up like debris or water. mine is just routed down to the shield and is aimed facing the drivers side fender. im just happy with that because it is a good compromise between cold air and safety.

How long is your tube? Mine is about 18 inches. How close does your come to the resonator box? How far from the fender?

I really like the effect mine has had so far. I wasn't expecting a boost in the lower end. When I had my cone intake, the low end torque suffered. and my dyno reults proved that.

I have mine pointed straight down and it ends about 1/2 inch from the splash guard.

As far as low end dyno results... I think this will be the same as the cai. You don't really see the benefits of cold air since the car isn't moving.

Also... you used the shop vac hose which is smaller diameter than most of us used.

I dunno how much these effect your dynoing but its just something to think about.

I routed mine about .5" below the splash guard, not enough to see it from the front of the car but enough to suck pure cool air. To counteract the sucking of debris I have a drain grate on the end of mine. The only drawback with it is that it is not a ram air system because it is not facing forward. So, I might cut a 4" hole in the angled part of the splash guard and place it facing forward. If I do that though I would put on a piece of medium to fine mesh on the exposed end.

Peace...

I don't think the difference is that great. There is only so much air the engine can take. With the addition of the 2nd air source, combined with the stock scoop, more than enough air is being ingested. It's all being routed through the same MAF tube, which is reduced to 3 inches. I can feel the added HP with my butt dyno. But at the actual dyno... I've already made a stock run, a JWT cone intake run, and hopefully next month I'll make a custom cold air intake run. 3 runs for the money... da da da...
