What are grey markers? Are they just grey on the backing instead of white like stock? Why is this better than white for making front clears? If you do another set of front clears, can you PLEASE post some CLOSEUPs of them? I want to see if they look "homemade" so I can decide whether I want to try this or not. Thanks.

The ones you have on should have orange housings. You'll have to paint the inside once you get the orange piece off because the color is visible through the clear piece. Want closeups?

Kev, how close is the clear piece to the orange reflector on the top? In other words, how deep should you cut into the top before you will also cut into the clear part?

It varies as you move along the marker length-wise. I'd say you have about 1/2 inch at the furthest point. Watch our for the pointy end because it's <b>really close</b>.
