Just Installed New ***** (they look GLOURIOUS!!!)

Hey guys, I just completed another mod. This one is just for looks but man does it look great. I dont have any pics of anything on my car yet. I will definatly make it a point to get someoone w/ a good digital camera and some internet skills to help me post some pics of my car and all the mods. I think you guys will love what I have done so far!! As for now, these are the links to pics of my new MOMO Combat Evo Air Metal Shift **** and my new MOMO Air Metal Pit Stop Hand Brake with matching MOMO Leather Hand Brake Boot. The E-brake **** w/ leather boot is especially nice replacing that ugly hard plastic handle and boot. Check em out, ACT LABS offered great help and customer service. There website is really nice too!

Shift ****: http://www.act-labs.com/scripts/proddetails.asp?pid=359

Hand Brake: http://www.act-labs.com/scripts/proddetails.asp?pid=395

Leather Boot: http://www.act-labs.com/scripts/proddetails.asp?pid=455

Click on the enlarge pic button to see an awesome pic of each. The Install was very easy. They do cost a pretty penny but when you guys see the pics of them installed in the max you are gonna want it. I know I have seen people on the org. replace the shift ***** but this is one of the 1st times I have seen the E-brake handle replaced(this looks amazing and is my favorite, though the shift **** is starting to grow on me too).

I can also send a pic from my camera phone to anyone's email address if you want to get a better idea, untill I get some serious pics up. Just let me know and I will send it. Also, let me know if you guys like this set up as much as I do right now(especislly the e-brake and leather boot).

The brake handle takes some improvising to fit it on snugly... theres too much space between the MOMO handle and factory lever. Had to take a thick rubber tube and wrap it around the original handle, then slide the momo one over it. MOMO uses these small screws to hold the handle in place, so its gotta make contact with a flexible material (thus the rubber component) Someone had posted an install guide on the handle a while back, forgot who tho. Additionally, the shift **** fits in a similar fashion. There is a small rubber cap which sits on top of the shifter, the **** then sits atop it, held in by screws... the screws come loose everynow and then so you have to constantly tighten it.

Thanks for all the coments. My car is an auto and the hand brake fit perfectly. I talked w/ the guy at ACT LABS on the phone and iI measured evrerything b4 ordering plus he knew what pieces I would need to make it fit perfectly. I definatly had no fitment issues whith the handle. It did however reguire a rubber addapter from MOMO for japanese cars to fit but it is perfectly snug and looks great.

I will try to get some pics up today but it will be from a camera phone for now. the best camera phone=crappy pics

Pm me or Reply if there is any more requests or questions. You can also look at No motives link. Mine looks similar but again It fit perfectly w/ the rubber adapter that they sent(no rubber tube needed).

Does anyone know what kind of shifter ***** are out there to replace the 6 speed shifter on the Max. With the 6 speed you have to use the lever to get it in reverse. So does anyone make something similiar ?

No Problem!!! I am happy you like it, but wait until you see it installed. Did you order the smane Air Metal color? Did you remember to get the adapter for the hand brake? I can give you step by step instructions on how I did it if you want.

Sorry, it was too dark to get a pic w/ the camera phone. It would have been pointless. I will get them up by thursday(my next day off, I also plan on doing some installs that day, rsb+fstb+ae pedals+piaa fog bulbs, stillen hi-flo intake) when I get my Brother to help me take the pics.

A small tip on installing the the shift ****. Wrap the shifter rod where the allen screws hit the metal with electrical tape and use locktite on the allen screws. If you do this your shift **** will be on there as solid as the stock screw on ****, don't overtighten the allen screws the threads are prone to being damaged.

Yea, I thought about that when someone posted about it loosening after a while. I will probably do that the 1st time I need to tighten it. I was just at work when I installed it I couldn't wait till I got Home, so I didnt have all tools and stuff at my disposal.
