A thought about blown MAFS.. Details inside..

I was brainstorming today at work, and have never seen the question asked.

I've had my intake for 3 months now with the ****tiest MAF nissan makes and its doing fine..

But my thought was this, how many people that have had blown MAFS also had their timing advanced?

Could that have anything to do with it? I'm not that "car" smart, but it was just running through my head so I had to ask.

Thanks fellas...

Ignition timing has nothing to do with your air flow meter. The MAF's are failing due to poor design or quality of workmanship. The failures have nothing to do with aftermarket intakes or air filters. MAF failures are common among the 5th gen's, modded and stock.

The org members see more failures on modded cars because there are more modded cars on here to begin with.
