Great site, wish I had found it earlier

I have a 2k Maxima I bought last December. Since that time I've had a bad ignition coil, blown MAF and currently a bad oxygen sensor and creaking coming from the front end during left turns. It just rolled over 40,000 miles. I can't afford these frequent repairs, so I'm looking to sell and never take a look at a Nissan product again. Before this car I had 91 Celica I owned for almost twelve years that only had one problem, which was an actuator or something like that in the transmission, but that was covered under warranty early on. I also have a 2000 Honda Odyssey that has 80,000 miles on it, and it has never been in the shop with a problem. This is a great site, I wish I had found it earlier before I bought a mechanics special.

sorry to hear about this....wish you could've found this site before 36000 miles.

anyways, it will be a lot cheaper to replace those by yourself. contact Dave B. for parts, his price is cheaper than any local nissan dealer.

blown MAF sensor - 70 dollars, dont replace the entire MAF tube

O2 sensor - 120?

Ignition coil - all 6 probably 300 dollars.

MAF and coil are easy to replace. just make sure you check your plugs when you replace the coils.

You might want to get an O2 sensor socket and apply antiseize on the new O2 sensor.
