Thanks.
only think yo'ull have to do is reset your sunroof. other than that, you're fine.
i'm very sure of this. i think i've disconnected the battery more times than having it connected.

How long can you go without losing the settings on your Viper system?

I have the DEI remote start and disconected my battery over night and didn't have problems with it or my sunroof

i *believe* the 2k2's and 2k3's have voltage regulated sunroofs, with a lever, not a push button. in this sense, the sunroof motor never really knows what is open and what is closed. it just know that every time you move the lever, it moves. realistically, this means that if you opened the sunroof, disconnected the battery, set it to the close position, then connected the battery, the motor would assume the sunroof was closed, when in reality it's still open. if at that point, you move the lever to the open position, i could only assume the motor will still move in that direction, prolly jumping the sunroof off it's track. what the synchronization does is more like a confirmation that the sunroof and the lever are where they should be. notice how you can't reset it by JUST pressing it for 5 seconds. you have to manually press the button until it's full closed, and then hold it for 5 seconds. this way the motor knows that in the reset position, it will always be fully closed.
this is only assumption based on waht i've read in the FSM and the way the sunroof lever is designed.
and again, this only pertains to those sunroofs with levers instead of buttons.
