Y-pipe installation question.

I wanted to get an idea as to how did you guys install your y-pipes. I have the car up on the ramps, and I barely have enough room to maneuver in there, much less remove, the stock pipe then install the Cattman. I'm wondering how many people managed to get away with installing it, but simply having it up on the ramps and/or floor jack, versus those who ended up going to the shop. Having installed my cattback with relative ease, I was hoping this wouldnt be that difficult of a project, put the lack of space is a bit hard to overcome. Any tips are appreciated, even the ones that suggest I take the car into a shop

dont take it to a shop, its not worth your money if you're pretty good with your hands.

I would suggest putting the car up on jack stands and putting it up pretty high. Install is fairly simple. 9 bolts off, 3 new gaskets on, 9 bolts back on...

i knew a buddy of mine that has a small shop so i had access to his lift. im pretty short at 5'10 but i wouldnt want to do a y pipe install on ramps. i had enough trouble with room trying to wrap the y pipe on ramps. it will just go alot easier on a lift espically if you have air tools.

Yeah, thats sort of my problem, I only have access to ramps and a small floor jack. I hate the thought of paying some clown $50+ to do this only because I dont have a way of lifting the car up to do the work myself

Cool, good to know.. I'm going to give this another try on tuesday. I have 2 sets of ramps, so I'm going to pull the car up on the 2 up front, then jack each side of the rear and slide a ramp underneath as well, hopefully that'll give me enough room.
