I don't believe the 03+ Accord V6 autos are any challenge for the 2k2+ Maxima. I havent seen any numbers to the contrary. (Though one guy who frequents Acura-Cl.com ran a 14.7XX ET but he had some boltons.)

The 6speed Coupe is a different story though.

Peace.

I think the Max will win by a slight margin. 2002 auto does 14.6 s in the 1/4 mile, so the Accord should score around 14.8 s.

The best autos run 14.6x's stock...typical is 14.8-14.9. The Accord will finish "slightly" behind this if the Maxima driver makes no mistakes...

I ran one from about 60-140...He started about 2 car lengths in front of me and I reeled him in up to about 130-135 and he either let off or it wouldnt pull much more.

BTW he may have had an intake/exhaust because it sounded pretty loud for being stock. Not quite as fast as a max but they are pretty close.

the accord coupe got a 0-60 time of like 5.8 or 5.9 seconds..(manual).. but its a drivers race.

to Luquire:

Maxima vs. F350 v8

Look at the torque, f350 wins.... doesnt work like that... thats why the TLS (auto vs auto) can beat us... yet older gtps cant.

My 2 Cents

I have a bone stock 2003 and have gone up against a few of the new accords.

One was a three wat between me, my friends 2000 Regal GS(Supercharged), and a new accord V6 with the 6 Speed. I pulled both of them of the line and on going. The regal was second not by much and the accord had a really good launch and he knew how to drive.

I don't think they are competition for us but they are pretty quick.

The Honda 3.0 doesn't have the torque to beat a Nissan 3.5 in a 1/4 mile race given equal drivers, but they're pretty strong from a roll. Best stock times at www.v6p.net are mostly low-15's with one 14.9 for the automatics and 93 mph traps. Nissan 3.5 autos will do 14.6-14.7 (or better in rare cases) with the same 93 mph traps (top-end isn't any better and gearing is taller).

i beat a '03 accord coupe after watching the 2 fast 2 furious.. (funny huh??).. i have a 2k auto SE.. we started it out on a rolling start.. around 40 mph.. and i beat it barely and he broke to let me in at the last second because i was on the oncoming lane.. i think it it was because i had more ***** than the other driver.. it was a new car and i guess he didn't wanna risk crashing his car or a ticket.. soooo.. yea.. i think it could beat the 2k but i dunno about the 2k2 and on.. my guess is that if i could keep up that much.. im pretty sure that a 2k2 would be able to beat it with no problem..

All of those cars can beat each other depending on the driver and speeds.

TL-S is quickest from a roll.
GTP is quickest from a dead stop.
02-03 Max auto is the middle ground.

Driving in the wrong lane is stupid. Try to keep in mind that when you excessively speed, you not only endanger your own life but those you pass as well. Take it to the expressway late at night, and let off well before the traffic in front of you, and start well ahead of the traffic behind you, that way at least your attempting to screw only yourself.
