Me vs a Civic HB w/GSR engine.....etc.

Tonight I had the best run or most fun run ever. I was on my way to the store when I roll up to the light and I see a 92-95 HB Civic w/ GSR engine, exhaust, intake and what ever else it had. I over heard him talking to the guy right next to him saying that he had ran at the local 1/8 mile track and had pulled a 9.3 Anyway the light turns green and away we go. We had to shut it down a little early at around 60mph since we were coming up on a another light. I was maybe 1/2 a car length ahead when we stopped. We did one more run from around 15mph to about a 100mph and I put 1 1/2 car lengths on him. I'm happy with the results that I got. Anyway tell me what you guys think. Should I have beat him worse or did I do pretty good.

We talked at the second light and he told me he had a GSR motor swap. I could see his exhaust and I just assumed that he had an intake also. I didn't get a chance to talk to him anymore since he turned off the main road after we started to slow down.

Never heard of anybody swapping motors to get a CRV motor. Weird. Sounds like it adds quite a bit more power to them though.

i raced my friend's integra gsr at the track and we were pretty much neck to neck the whole way w/ me pulling on him slightly. He was at my rear bumper at the 1/4 mile finish line.

I had a run with a Civic at the track my first time there and he kept up pretty well... ran a 15.2 I believe. Good driver, which helped, but I dunno what he was runngin under the hood.

Yeah I think the GSR motor swap itself puts the Civic at around 14.7 or maybe a little lower in the 1/4 mile. Mybe I'm wrong though. I know for a fact this guy I know in Florida has the swap done and a whole list of other mods and he runs mid 13's.

14.7 noo....believe me...i drive a 95 integra gsr. (check my name) i ran a 14.8@93mph at atco raceway full interior, street tires. and my car only has intake and exhaust. a gsr swap into one of the 92-95 EG hatches put them at 13.9-14.2 ballpark range.

If that's the case, then I did pretty good beating this guy.
