Recall for HIDs!
Ok before I get flamed I've been away for a month or so, so if this is a repeat, I'm sorry
.
I got a letter in the mail today from Nissan
They are essentially recalling the car to install a security kit for the HIDs. this includes new securing devices to discourage HID theft.
They are installing "Data Dots" which are essentially an IDing system to identify your HIDs with your car. Also includes a sticker for your window that advertising yours are harder to steal and identifible.
All this at no charge.
Per Nissan, this includes only cars in and around the NY NJ area. they're including eastern PA, Mass, CT, and RI in this as well.
sounds like Very good news to me. Essentially doing what we've been asking for.
