i removed my sunroof deflector of my max, and i got this nasty *** brown strip under where the deflector was any recommendations on how to remove it?

 

i just took mine off the other day after 2 years and just used a clean rag to get the majority of the dirt off. then i used some mothers wax and it came right off and i put my deflector right back on.

 

we have the same year and color, and yours showed no evidence

 

oh no. it showed a ton of dirt and sand. i removed the dirt and sand with a wet cloth. then i had to use some cleaner wax to get rid of the black line that showed where the deflector was touching the paint and where the dirt collected.
