Maxspeed Springs & bumpstops: to trim or not to trim

i know this topic has be beat to death...but i've still got no finally answer.

i just got a set of Maxspeed springs for my 2k. i'm going to install the springs tomorrow (going to start with stock shocks...will get KYB GR2s later).

but, the springs didn't come with any paperwork or directions for some reason.

trying to figure out if i would even need the manufactures directions for any reason. do i?

and can someone please tell me for sure whether or not i trim the bumpstops on a 2k with Maxspeeds? if so, how much exactly?

can anyone with Maxspeed let me know what they did. and if the directions that came with them are really important - anyone got a copy of theirs?

thanks in advance

I don't recall Maxspeeds ever having instructions for installation in the package.

Don't trim.

I didn't and no problems. I'm running SE stock struts.

I have Maxspeeds on my 2K2 SE with the factory shocks. No need to trim the bumpstops.

You DO NOT need to do this with Maxspeeds.

did you have to wrap the spring coils with spring wrap?

do you have any rubbing noise now when driving and going over bumps?

people typically did this on 4th gens and i'm new to the 5th gen scene..

yes, i took the short wrap off the stock springs and put them on the MaxSpeeds. no rubbing, no grinding, no pops...nothing! knock on wood...but flawless so far!
