Any chance against Audi S4...?

Should i even try to go after a 6-speed/tiptronic 2k S4 twin turbo.
It makes "only" 250hp but is it worth it?
I am a huge Audi fan and i know how capables these cars are especially when chipped. However, when we talk about a stock S4 vs my 2003 Max (stock) ... what do you think?? Just curious...
Any A4 should be no probelm....right?

and dont try the ones that have the V8... mean machines there, specially from a stop. Wouldnt worry too much on a roll, as we have the same power, or thereabouts, but its easy to mod those with their turbos

S4 are fast cars, my friend use to have one Mod with lots of MTM parts. Its FAST! Dunno how fast, but it pushed my back against the seat hard when he accelerated.

Anyway, there some video's of S4's running high 11's Good luck running a S4 if your car is stock.

S4's are really finnicky and unreliable. Most of the time they're not running at their optimum output anyways... should be an easy kill in a 2003 with a 6spd. if the S4 is stock.

These are the numbers:
STOCK MAX: 255hp/246Ibft torque, weighing 3186Ibs

STOCK S4: 250hp/258Ibft torque, weighing 3087Ibs

Based on these numbers if you're auto then forget about it, b'cos even with a stick he might beat you on take off!! So be ware, a lighter car and also has more torque, 5hp is not enough to put you ahead!!

Just a major minor mistake

STOCK Golf weighs maybe that little, but a s4 is pushing over 3300 pounds.....
Thats for sure!

Yeah, but that 250-260HP is for the old, 2000-2003 S4. With a chip, or a 2004 S4 you get 310-320 HP.

Fact of the matter is... S4's are really quick, and wouldn't be no walk in the park. A chipped 00-02 can easily pull 4.9-5.0 0-60mph.

Ah Audi S4 automatic. Quick lesson here. He lines up and puts his foot on the brake. He then puts his foot 1/3 down on the gas pedal. At the light he's making 3-4-5 psi boost. Light goes green, he steps off the brake, AWD digs in, and the maxima is forgotten like yesterday's breakfast.

A4 and S4 huge difference. A4 can be done easily, an S4 you have to do your homework and more

I don't know what some of you guys are talking about. I've raced my friends 2000 S4(6-spd) from a stop, and well let just say the S4's rear looked beautiful, yeah he tore me a new one. Those things are no joke, I believe he ran a 13.8 in Englishtown. So stock for stock there is no way an auto or six speed Max can hang with an S4, with the AWD those things are quick!

An easy kill? I think you should stop racing parked cars.

Yeah, only we're not REALLY 255hp... it's more like 240-245.

Plus I'm guessing those turbos do a nice job with the power curve as well.

Don't forget the AWD. I know with my '02 SE auto I am traction limited even in the dry. The S4 will not be.

two small turbos create greater boost quicker than onr large turbo-
those cars are sick- I always wonder what if (if I had bought a 2000 A6 2.7T
instead of my max) aftermarket is no joke for turbo Audi's

Hey, Jeff, thanks for the link to nwmaxima, that's great!

No mods, but then this Saturday is going to be my 2-week anniversary with the car. I don't plan to do much modding to it. Really like it so far, though the handling is a little sloppy for my taste.

I'm due to completely revise and update my car pages, but you can see some small pics of my former cars, including my '94 Maxima SE at the link below. I'll get a pic of the new car up there, too.

Are you guys serious? an S4 some here actually know what that car really is, but really the S4 is an absolute beast. Think about it...AWD, and Turbo Yeah it only makes 250hp in stock trim, but a chiped S4 alone is a completly diff animal. Dont ever underestimate an S4, they are sweeet rides.

Dont make me go over to VWvortex and link this thread

John , I handed an S4 its *** when I was stock, he was auto. I alos saw 2 6 speed Maxes smoke 2 different s4's.....This was when my car was bone stock . The 6 speed Maxes were stock too....... I know the potential for S4;s is a lot better than for our cars, but stock VS stock is a different story.

Stock for Stock, I cant argue with that. The only S4 ive been in is a 6spd when it was stock and that was fairly quick...60ft *****! now hes got it chipped with a few other toys, that thing pulls to 150 with ease. If I could fit in that car, I would love to own one but its not a one size fits all The back set is made for some who is 5'5" and 120lbs and I had to sit back there once. Damn that sucked, im double that size.

Like everyone mentioned, if he's stock race him. But NOT from the line. He will make you appreciate a beautiful rear end. You'll easily pull from a roll. I'd do like a 10mph. That's enough really.
Chipped, forget about it and go ride with him. At least you'd have fun.
