I have Formula One myself, 20% in the back glass. 30 (or was that 32?) in the rear doors and 35% in the front doors.

It's been 2 years now and i see no hint of violet whatsoever.

Though with Texas laws now making 25% legal, i'm probably going to have the car re-tinted.

Btw, i paid $180 for mine. Came with a 3-year "No fade, no violet" warranty.

i thought formula1 had lifetime no fade warranty. or at least the 100% metallic ones are i think... that's what my card says....
18% all around...got mine for $200 in atlanta.....but i do recommend it....looks good...

They have different kinds of tint, the 100% metallic are lifetime warrantied - though here in Houston they wanted to charge me closer to $350 for it.

So i settled for the semi-metallic version which only has a 3-year warranty. I figured i'd want to change the darkness eventually anyway.

Shop near me uses 3M. Four cars done and no tears.

3M gets my recommendation.

I've had my Formula 1 tint for over a year now. Still looks like new. It is the top line metallic tint. I think mine is 28% all around (legal limit in Colorado). Apparently I paid on the high side. I think it was around $240 for all windows except the windshield. Turned out really nice. Just try to be sure they do the rear window in 1 piece.

I really like my Lumar. Excels at keeping the Florida heat out, and looks and wears awesome. In comparison to previous tints on other Maximas, its the best tint I have ever had
