Hmm, 24 miles? I hope you did a real good inspection since the car must have been NEW!

Ask these same Enterprise people in 6 months when they are no longer with Enterprise. That company manages to brainwash you into saying all kinds of **** adn you don't even realize it. I bet the story will be much different. I was a City Manager for these guys once upon a time, and I certainly didn't care if the damn thing was serviced or not. The car held up until we got rid of it. And even if it didn't, once it was out of my fleet and transfered to the head office "dumpfleet" (waiting to be sold) the problem wasn't mine anymore. If a car did somehow manage to break down, the amount of money made throughout the life of the rental would far outweigh any money lost in a write-off to a customer. Let it be known that the offical stand was that every car HAD to be serviced but I also knew that they weren't. As I stated earlier in this thread, they make money on the road, not on the rack.

i got a buddy working for enterprise...they abuse the living daylights out of all of their cars. also a lot of the cars get in fender benders and they enver report them, they just fix them in their own shops and the cars still have a clean record

i wouldn't ever buy a rental.

Reason for this must be:

a) troubled childhood
b) trying to look cool but miserably failing, insecure person.
c) mental capacity of a child
d) small male organ of copulation
e) all of the above

I bought an ex-rental as well. I have had for about 2 months no problems. I few stratches and nics on the hood, which they repaired as wellas they could. Hopefully I will be alright.
Does anyone know if you get roadside assistance with nissan's?

I agree...I bought my 2k2 SE Fergus Nissan and was a Rental (found out during purchase).. The car was tight, had about 16K on it, and had all the options I was looking for (including color). Now I would only buy one of these cars from Nissan. Reason...If Nissan will give you the Security + warranty, then why not?? The dealer gave me the 10/100 Warranty on the car for an additional 1300. I felt that $17,100 + $1300 for a 6 month old Max was a hell of deal.

The car now has 36000 miles, and only problems have been recall/TSP related.

She's all good...

You must be looking at one of the Maximas in Traverse City. Anyhow if you by the car I would most definately get an extended warrenty. I have always been told that rental agency mantain their cars, but you never know how they are driven. You shouldnt expect to much to happen mecanically, the interior would be my biggest worry. I do not like cars that have been smokked in. If you decide not to by it check autotrader.com on a regular basis, you will find a lot but your going to have to drive a ways.
