I've read alot of different posts regarding the Technosquare ECU and it seems like there is nothing but positive things to be said about this mod. I'm curious about getting a difinitive answer from all current TS ECU "users/owners" on whether they are happy with the mod or not.

For whatever reason you have, a simple thumbs up or thumbs down for the TS ECU but please, only vote/post if you already have the ECU upgrade and have had time using it to make a clear judgement.

Thanks!

My question is... Is it better to buy the y-pipe, b-pipe, UDP, and all before getting the ECU done or is it alright to get the ECU done then get the updates. Will the ECU adjust for the updates.

A post by 2k2wannabe in the " '02+ Maxima ECU Cracked!!!" Thread (http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....&page=12&pp=40) states that he beleives the 350Z ECU removal and the Maximas are very similar and gives this link:
http://www.technosquareinc.com/350ZECUremoval.htm

Also... PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD get a baseline dyno to compare to the dyno after you install it.

As for the other mods... I dont think it makes a difference. I beleive it is stated on TS's site somewhere that says there will only need to be one ECU upgrade for any naturally aspirated max. I beleive they said that the ECU will take advantage of any mod you put on there. However if you are going to get boost then it will need a different one.

That's correct...N/A Maximas will not need to get an ECU reflash every time you add another bolt on mod. It's only when you go forced induction that you will need to get some more work done.

As for removing the ECU, it's on the passenger side (the right side of the center section, and at the bottom) under a two clip plastic cover. This is what it looks like when it's removed (pictures to follow):

As you can see (much easier when looking in the area where the ECU is itself), it's not the easiest thing to get to...several bolts hold it in place, and the space is cramped. The wire harness going to it is easy to get off, though (just unlock, flip the black docking lever the opposite way, and lock it down). You'll see what I mean...

The 350z ecu is behind glove box compartment. What I hear is Max ecu is under radio bolted to floor behind center console. So, do's the radio need to come out, or can I get to it from side cover of console??

Allways right there with some good info Quick. That is your spare right? Seems to have twice the amount of pins that my Porches or RX7 had. But those were preOBD2.
