5th gen supercharger, let's lobby for it

Wassup fam. It's about damn time Procharger did the slight mod necessary for the SC they already have out for the G35 and 350Z so we can get that 55% increase in HP. Email these people an let's get the ball rolling. It's the same engine in all three cars. The Z is tuned, but 8lbs. of boost can be expected. And, if you put a smaller pulley on the MF you'll probably get a full bar of boost. Is anybody else drooling at the idea of almost 400HP? 300 lb/ft of torque? Blowing up 745's? Email Procharger and tell them to get it done. Oh, by the way, there are no oil lines on the SC. It has an intercooler. So a larger intercooler will get you enough horses to go back in time. Let's do this!!!!!

You mean 2002/2003 5th gens, right? Somehow I doubt that would happen in the near future, but if it does, it should be significantly less expensive than a turbo for the same car, so maybe it would be a viable solution to peoples' problems with being N/A.

I would SC for sure , but I remember that Procharger used to make some POS blowers for Stangs, back when I had my 89 LX. They were selling kits with ridiculous PSI and were just plain crap. I hoope they have changed.

The ATI would certainly NOT be the S/C of choice. Those kits have killed a few 350Zs.

ATI is located about 3 miles from my house and I've heard that they will not be making a SC for the 3.5 Altima/Maxima platform due to lack of demand and install issues associated with plumbing the IC and building a SC bracket around the VTC control of the 3.5 VQ. I know that a couple 3.5 Altimas have been studied. Take a look at the passenger side of your 3.5 VQs and notice how much space those VTCs take up. The 95-01 3.0 VQs don't have VTCs and that's why the SC install is relatively easy.

I've seen the ATI 350Z with the hood popped and running at the track and thier stuff is top notch. It looks far better than anything Stillen has put together. The ATI 350Z kit pushes the blower far to the drivers side of the engine compartment because the VTCs get in the way. BTW, a G35 sedan kit will not be made because the G35 sedan uses a engine-mounted fan instead of electric fans mounted to the radiator that are used the G35C/350Z. The G35 sedan fan simply gets in the way.

There is a local shop working on making the new Vortech kit fit on the sedan. Apparently the Vortech kit has the same problem. But fortunatly I will be doing most or all of any future Nissan/Infiniti installs for the shop that sold that kit. Once I get my hands on a 350Z kit I will see what it takes to squeeze it into the Maxima.

supercharger..... *drooling smiley* haha.
Man I would definitely go for this.... is it true if you supercharge your car, you would need to upgrade your brakes to handle the additional increase in power? Just wondering.... its a monday dont bash me if I asked a stupid question.

The only stupid question is the one that isn't asked, my friend. I had a 98 supercharged max w/ stock brakes and when the ***** was flying stopping was quite an experience. I would definitly get the brake upgrade. As far as I know the only thing you have to do with a SC is go to colder plugs. Then strap in.

Yeah. Turbos are nice, but too much crap in the engine compartment. They should also be LESS expensive than a SC.

Excellent. Please keep me posted. The problem with my SC on my 98 was the air intake was crammed in against the fender. If that is the only way they can do it, well, I'll just put louvers in the hood over the intake. There is always a way.
