Anybody else notice this....

I've had my car for about 3 years now and never knew it did this. I was standing outside my car and reached in to auto up the drivers side window, not realizing my arm was still in the window b/c I was talkin to this girl. The window went the up as far as it could and started to squeeze my arm. I got shook for a second then the window stopped and went down about 2 inches. I almost flipped out. I did it again to make sure that was what happend. Then I showed the girl I was talking to. I called my boy from across the street to come look at it. I didn't know it would do that. You learn something new everyday.

It's called pinch protection. The sunroof should do it too. We can thank the lawyers for that feature.

Yeah with auto up ya gotta have some sort of safety. or else a lot of idiots would be killing them selves or cutting off various body parts.

If you liked that feature, try holding your alarm button for 10-15seconds after you unlock the doors... see what happens then! Or, unlock your door with the key, and keep it in the Unlocked position for a few seconds...

We were kinda occupied at the time that's why I didn't notice. She was as impressed as I was. She even put her arm in to try it too. I only wish they would have put the keypad windows down thing on the 2k-2k1's..

That's a neat feature to have especially when you have auto up. I'm not sure if it just the front windows or for all windows. I know my driver's window does it.

Maybe the rubber seals are worn out and are causing too much friction. Spray some kind of Silicon lubricant on the side tracks & the lower rubber mount.
